German tennis player Alexander Zverev will donate 50.000 dollars to help those affected by the fires in Australia.
At the start of the Australian Open in Melbourne, Zverev promised to donate four million Australian dollars, or 2,8 million US dollars, if he won the tournament, or $10.000 for every match he won at Melbourne Park.
He lost today in the semi-finals against the Austrian Dominik Thiem.
"Unfortunately, it didn't come true. But, I will keep my promise about the donation and give 50.000 dollars, in order to help at least a little," said Zverev.
