The letter was sent by Djokovic to the players, and it was transmitted by John Wertheim, journalist of "Tennis TV".
"The best 100 in the world in singles and the best 20 in doubles will participate in the financial support of the Fund for less ranked tennis players. "The top 20 in doubles will donate 5.000 dollars, the total amount should be 1.050.000 dollars. When we add to that the amount that should be donated by the ATP, and then the Grand Slams, we will arrive at a sum of about four to four and a half million dollars," the letter states.
Federer, Nadal and he also proposed that 50 percent of the prize fund of the final tournament in London (if it takes place in November/December) be paid to the Fund.
"We don't know if the tournament will be played and if it is not played, then the same should be done at the Australian Open in 2021. Not only the three of us, everyone who will participate in the final tournament or the Australian Open should donate what we won. It's a fair way for everyone to participate."
