Roger Federer played two matches at the tournament in Doha - yesterday he passed Daniel Evans, today he passed him eliminated by Nikoloz Basilashvili.
"I've already gotten over this loss, never easier. I started from zero and I'm happy that I managed to play two matches in three sets against top players. It's an important step forward for me. I'm not 100 percent yet, I can see that too to feel it. My goal is to be at my best by the start of the grass season, that's when the season starts for me. Maybe I'll be better before the grass, but that would just be an added bonus," said Federer and added:
"Basilashvili plays differently than Evans, he attacked me more on the forehand, but physically I felt better against Daniel, which is logical. I expected to feel pain in my muscles, a little in my shoulders, matches always take an extra five to ten percent. "Generally, physically just fine and I'm happy with that," said Federer.
Next week is the tournament in Dubai.
"I will talk to the team and make a decision in the next 24 hours."
