Aleksandar Zverev is the first finalist of the Masters in Madrid - in the semi-finals he convincingly beat the Austrian Dominic Thiem 6:3, 6:4 in an hour and 37 minutes of play.
This was the 11th duel between Zverev and Thiem and only the third victory of the German, the second in Madrid where he also celebrated in the 2018 final.
Zverev reached the final in Madrid without losing a set, and in the quarterfinals he outplayed Rafael Nadal.
For Zverev, Sunday's final will be the 24th in his career, he has won 14 titles so far.
In the final, Zverev will play against the winner of the match between Italian Matteo Berretini and Norwegian Kasper Rud.
The team's appearance in Madrid was the first tournament in which it played after almost two months.
