Italian tennis player Matteo Beretini officially withdrew from the ATP Finals in Turin due to an abdominal muscle injury.
Instead of Berettini, his compatriot Janik Siner got a chance.
Beretini was injured in the 1st round match against Alexander Zverev.
"I thought, thought, cried and finally decided... The tournament ends here for me. I am devastated, I never thought that I would give up and leave the most important tennis event in the history of Italy in this way. The truth is that as much as I want to playing in front of you, I felt that my body was not capable of such a challenge. Siner will be on the field already tonight - at 21:XNUMX p.m. he will play a match against Hubert Hurkač.
