Italian tennis player Matteo Berretini reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open today.
In a marathon match, after five sets, Beretini eliminated Gael Monfils - 3:2 (6:4, 6:4, 3:6, 3:6, 6:2) and became the first Italian tennis player to reach the semi-finals of the Grand Slam in Melbourne.
One break was enough for Beretni in the first two sets. The Italian had a clear lead, but then complicated the match.

In the sixth game of the third set, Monfis broke and reduced the score to 2:1, and then in the fourth set he took away his rival's serve twice and equalized.
However, at the beginning of the fifth set, Beretini made a series 4:0 and brought the match to an end.
Beretini will play Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals.
