Norwegian tennis player Kasper Rud defeated Aleksander Zverev 2:1 (6:3, 1:6, 6:3) and qualified for the semi-finals of the Masters in Miami.
Rud celebrated after 99 minutes and secured the fourth Masters semi-final of his career. Pretohndo played semi-finals in Monte Carlo, Madrid and Rome.
On the other hand, Zverev is not playing in recognizable form in 2022 and has already suffered his sixth defeat.
Rud served well during the match, and he won the first set after a break in the fourth game.
Zverev answered in the second set, tying five games with two breaks, but did not reach a complete turnaround. Rud took a 3:0 lead in the third set and didn't let go until the end.
Rud will play in the semi-finals against Serundol, to whom Siner handed over the match due to injury.
