The Italian tennis player Matteo Berretini won the title at the tournament in Stuttgart today, after defeating the 68th ranked British tennis player Andy Murray in the final after three sets - 6:4, 5:7, 6:3.
Beretini, the 10th ranked tennis player in the world, won after two hours and 35 minutes.
In the third game of the first set, the Italian took away Murray's serve, saved the advantage of the break until the end and took the lead in the match. In the second set, the tennis players won games on their serves until the last one, the 12th, when the Briton broke, which brought him a tie in the match.
Beretini broke Murray's serve twice in the third set to win his first title of the season.
He missed the clay court season due to minor surgery on his right hand.
