The Australian Davis Cup national team is the first finalist, after defeating Croatia 2:1 in the semi-finals.
The decisive point for the "kangaroos" was brought by the doubles of Matthew Ebden-Max Purcell, who after a great fight with a reversal won one of the best doubles of today, Nikola Mektic and Mata Pavić - 6:7(3), 7:5, 6:4.
Croatia took the lead in Malaga with the victory of Borna Ćorić over Tanasi Kokinakis - 6:4, 6:3, and Aleks de Minaur equalized with a triumph over Marin Čilić - 6:2, 6:2.
The Croatians lacked freshness after the difficult victory over the home team Spain in the quarter-finals.
The second finalist will be determined by the match between the selections of Italy and Canada: Lorenzo Sonego will play against Denis Shapovalov, and Lorenzo Muzetić will later play against Felix Ože-Aliasimo.
In doubles, Simone Bolelli/Fabio Fognini should play against Vašek Pospišil and Shapovalov.
