The last Wimbledon quarterfinalist is Carlos Alcaras, who defeated Mateo Beretini tonight after four sets - 3:1 (3:6, 6:3, 6:3, 6:3).
Alkaras reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time tonight.
"I knew it would be difficult. Mateo is a great player, he played the final here... It's not easy to come back after the first set. I knew I would have to be focused and take my chances. I managed to do that. I'm happy because of the victory. My dream is to play in the final and win the title here," said Alkaras after the match.
Behind Beretini is a great tournament. The Italian had problems with injury, and then in London he eliminated Sonego, De Minaur and Zverev. And tonight he started well, in the eighth game he reached a break, and then won the set.
In the second set, one break was seen, in the fourth game, and it was made by Alkaras, who soon equalized.
