The super-talented 21-year-old American Ben Shelton won the tennis Japan Open in Tokyo, as he defeated the Russian Aslan Karetsev in the final - 7:5, 6:1.
For Shelton, it is the first ATP trophy in his career, but in addition to the big prize of the tournament from the 500 series, it will also bring him the 14th position in the ATP rating tomorrow.
Ben and Brian Shelton are the fourth son and father in the open era with ATP tournament titles.
This season, Ben Shelton is the sixth tennis player to lift his debut ATP trophy.
