The eighth tennis player in the world, the German Alexander Zverev, defeated the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz today with 2:1 in sets 6:7, 6:3, 6:4, in the first round match of Group B of the final Masters in Turin.
He reached the victory over the second tennis player in the world after two hours and 34 minutes of play.
In the first set, one break was seen on both sides, so the winner was decided in a tie-break, in which Alkaras was better and celebrated with 7:3.
In the second game of the second set, Zverev took away the Spaniard's serve, and kept the advantage of one break until the ninth game, when he used the first set point and reached the tie.
In the deciding set, Zverev broke Alcaraz's serve in the fifth game. In the 10th game, the Spaniard missed a break point, and in the continuation of the game, Zverev used the first match point and reached the victory.
