The number one tennis player in the world lost to the 12th in the ATP list after one hour and 32 minutes and problems with his wrist.
In the first set, the tennis players were confident in their service games until the ninth, when De Minor broke and took the lead 5:4. After that, he won the game on his serve and took the lead in the match.
In the seventh game of the second set, the Australian broke Djokovic's serve and took the lead 4:3. He saved the advantage of the break until the end and after the fourth match point he gave Australia the lead against Serbia.
Natalija Stevanović and Ajla Tomljanović will play in the second match.
