Australian tennis player Alex de Minor defeated Novak Djokovic 2:0 (6:4, 6:4) today and gave his country an advantage against Serbia at the United Cup in Perth.
De Minor was very satisfied after the match.
"A special moment for me. Novak is an incredible player, he has done so much for this sport. It all seems fantastic, unreal, I'm happy to have done it in Perth. When you play with him you have to believe in yourself, whatever, just fight until the end. Today was my day and I'm very happy about that victory. It means a lot to me, thank you very much for your support," he thanked the audience.
De Minor spoke specifically about his game.
"Those shots came because many didn't believe in me. Now I proved them wrong. I will never be the best, but I have to adapt, to show variations and different styles of tennis. Today I succeeded in that," concluded De Minor.
