The Spanish tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz, made it to the round of 16 of the Australian Open last night.
Alcaraz was handed the match by the Chinese Junchen Shang. Alkaras was leading 6:1, 6:1, 1:0 when the 18-year-old Chinese surrendered the match due to injury.
The Spaniard dominated before the break. He made three breaks in the first set, two breaks in the second and easily took a 2:0 lead.
In the next round, Alkaras will play against Miomir Kecmanović, who after five sets defeated the American Tommy Polo - 6:4, 3:6, 2:6, 7:6(7), 6:0.
The match between Kecmanović and Pol, the 60th and 14th tennis players in the world, lasted exactly four hours.
Kecmanović saved two match points in the tie-break of the fourth set and managed to reverse the result and celebrate against last year's semi-finalist of the Australian Open.
