The boy from South Tyrol continues to write great stories - Janik Siner is in the semi-finals of the Australian Open, his second Grand Slam tournament.
The phenomenal Italian easily defeated Andrej Rubljov (6:4, 7:6, 6:3), becoming the first since Novak Djokovic in 2015 to place among the top four in Melbourne without losing a set and scheduled a new showdown with the Serbian a tennis player.
Their battle for the final will be another spectacular duel between two great tennis players after they gave the planet three unforgettable matches in just 11 days in November.
Siner then celebrated in the Final Masters in the group, Djokovic when it was much more important in the final, for the Italian to register a new triumph in the semifinals of the Davis Cup when he led his country to the final and the title.
However, a few months earlier, Djokovic ended Siner's dream at Wimbledon in the first and to date only Grand Slam semifinal for the 22-year-old Italian.
