Legendary tennis player Boris Becker announced today that after only five months of cooperation, he will no longer coach Danish tennis player Holger Rune.
Becker said on the X social network that he did not have enough time to work with the Dane amid other commitments.
"We started this partnership with the initial goal of reaching the ATP Finals at the end of last year, but over time I realized that I would have to be at Holger's disposal much more than I can for them to be successful," Becker wrote.
The German said that due to personal and professional commitments, he cannot give Rune what he needs now.
Becker and the 2024-year-old Dane started working together last year in October, while in November the German said they would work together in XNUMX.
Rune is currently seventh on the ATP list, and was eliminated in the second round at the Australian Open last month.
Rune did not advertise today's events.
