The Spanish tennis player, Carlos Alcaraz, qualified for the third round of the Masters in Indian Wells after, after a reversal, he defeated the Italian Matteo Arnaldi - 6:7, 6:0, 6:1.
In the seventh game, Alcaraz reached a break, leading 4:3, but the Italian immediately fought back, equalizing (4:4) and then leading 5:4. In the 12th game, Arnaldi had a set point, which he did not use, but after the tie-break he managed to reach the lead.
This was followed by a furious game by Alkaras - the young tennis player won the second set with zero, and in the third he led 3:0, then 5:1, and won a place in the next round.
"I had to change a few things. "I made a few mistakes in the first set, I had to increase the percentage of the first serve - I would say that was the key to play better, and to catch the rhythm in the long exchanges," said Alkaras after the match.
In the next round, Alkaras will play against Felix Auger-Alijas.
The winner of the Australian Open, Janik Siner, advanced to the next round without any problems.
The Italian tennis player defeated Tanasi Kokinakis 6:3, 6:0 in two sets.
Siner won 16 matches in official matches, and during that time he won the Davis Cup, the tournament in Rotterdam and the Australian Open.
Siner's next opponent will be Štruf, who defeated Ćorić (2:1).
