The second tennis player in the world, the Spanish Carlos Alcaras, qualified for the Indian Wells quarterfinals tonight, after defeating the Hungarian Fabijan Marožan 6:3, 6:3 in two sets.
The Spaniard achieved victory over the 58th player on the ATP list after an hour and 17 minutes of play.
In the first set, Alkaras took away his opponent's serve twice, while one break was enough for him to win the second set.
In the quarterfinals, Alkaras will play against the better of the Zverev-De Minor match.
And the Czech tennis player Jirži Lehečka also reached the quarterfinals, as he beat the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in two sets - 6:2, 6:4.
Lehečka, the 32nd tennis player in the world, reached the victory over the 11th player on the ATP list after an hour and 18 minutes of play.
He took away the opponent's serve three times, not allowing a break on the other side.
In the quarterfinals, Lehečka will play against the better of the duel between the American Ben Shelton and the Italian Janiko Siner.
