Iga Sfjontek and Marija Sakari will play in the final of the Masters in Indian Wells in the women's competition.
Last night, Sfjontek easily and convincingly defeated Marta Kostjuk 2:0 (6:2, 6:1), while Sakari eliminated Koko Gof in three sets - 2:1 (6:4, 6:7, 6:2).
The best tennis player in the world easily won another victory. Sfjontek lost only 10 points on her serve, making two breaks in the first set and three breaks in the second.
Sfjontek reached her 300th career victory, as well as her 10th Masters final.
The second semi-final was more exciting - Sakari won the first set in the ninth game, when she used the fifth break point.
The Greek tennis player was able to decide the match in the second set. Sakari had two break points, led 5:2, and missed three match points in the 10th game. Gof managed to tie four games, so she took a 6:5 lead, took the match to a tie-break in which she reached a tie.
At the start of the third set, Gof made a break and took a 1:0 lead, and then stopped - Sakari tied three games, reversed and advanced to the final.
