Russian tennis player Danil Medvedev reached the quarterfinals of the Masters tournament in Madrid today, after defeating Kazakhstan's Aleksander Bublik 7:6, 6:4.
The fourth tennis player in the world celebrated against the 18th on the ATP list after one hour and 44 minutes. With this victory, Medvedev reached at least the quarterfinals in all nine Masters tournaments.
Medvedev will fight the winner of the match between Rafael Nadal and Jirži Lehečka for a place in the semi-finals.
A place in the quarterfinals was secured by the Russian Andrej Rubljov, who beat the Dutchman Talon Grikspor 6:2, 6:4 after 66 minutes of play. His next rival will be the better of the duel between Carlos Alkaras and Jan Lenard Štroff.
