In the Roland Garros final, Spaniard Carlos Alcaras and German Alexander Zverev will play. He just won the second semi-final against the Norwegian Kasper Rud - 3:1 (2:6, 6:2, 6:4, 6:2).
Rud failed to defend last year's final, which he reached over Zverev with a convincing victory (6:2, 6:4, 6:0).
The beginning of today's match foreshadowed a similar epilogue, but Zverev "worked" from the second set, served fantastically and read the rival's attacks.
Rudd sought medical attention midway through the third set for a stomach problem, but Zverev was on a roll and finished the semi-final quickly - two hours and 37 minutes.
Encouraging in the fight for the first title at the Grand Slam tournaments, since in the two previous matches he had to win after a marathon in five sets.
Zverev came to Paris as the winner of the Masters in Rome, the last before the only Grand Slam on clay.
