Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alkaras, in the place where one wrote history with 14 Grand Slam titles, and the other was crowned for the first time a few days ago, will perform together during the Olympic Games.
Two great tennis masters will make up the Spanish doubles during the Paris Games, which will be played on the Roland Garros courts.
"As you know and expect, one of the pairs will be Alkaras and Nadal, while we have yet to decide on the other. There is a clear idea, but we will wait a little longer to make the final decision," said selector David Ferrer.
In 2008, Rafa won the Olympic gold medal in singles in Beijing, and in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro in doubles with Marco Lopez.
The Spanish Olympic team will also include Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovic Fokina and Marcel Granollers.
The Olympic Games start on July 27.
