Montenegrin national tennis advanced to the second level of the World Group, as both male and female tennis players played excellently in the final tournaments of the third qualitative group.
The men's team was defeated today in Ulcinj in the final of the III European Davis Cup group by the selection of Cyprus 2:1. In the first match, Matija Samardžić was defeated by Nikolas Campbell 6:2, 6:1. Petar Jovanović evened the score against Menelaos Efstatiu with a score of 6:3, 6:3.
The best-ranked player Rezart Cunguz did not play today in the match with no result, due to the pain he felt in his leg, so the coach Aleksandar Tomić did not want to risk an injury. In the decisive doubles, Matija Samardžić and Simon Knežević provided excellent resistance to Sergis Kiradzis and Eleftherios Neos. The Cypriot won the doubles 6:4, 7:6.

The draw this time was not in favor of our ladies, so an even better result was missed. Our tennis players defeated San Marino 2:0 today. The first victory was won by Anja Drašković, who was better than Talita Gijardi - 6:0, 6:0, and Tea Nikčević easily defeated Silvija Aleta - 6:1, 6:3.
