German tennis player Aleksandar Zverev did not defend his title at the tournament in his native Hamburg.
In the final, Zverev lost to the Frenchman Artur Fis - it was 3:6, 6:3, 7:6 for the 28th player on the ATP list.
The duel lasted three hours and 34 minutes, and Fis was convincing in the tie-break of the decisive set - 7:1.
Fis reached the second cup in his career and will advance on the ATP list.
As of tomorrow, he will be the 20th tennis player in the world.
