Italian tennis player Janik Siner and American Francis Tiafoe qualified for the Masters finals in Cincinnati last night, after defeating German Alexander Zverev and Dane Holger Rune in the semifinals.
Janik Siner, first on the ATP list, became the first Italian in the Cincinnati final after defeating Zverev 2:1 in the semifinals, after more than three hours of play.
Tijafo won against Holger Rune in three sets after more than two hours of play - 2:1.
Tijafo is the first American in the Cincinnati final since 2013.
The final is scheduled for tonight at midnight.
It will be the fifth duel between Siner and Tijafo, and the Italian leads 3:1 in singles.
The American has three ATP titles in his career, but he has never won the Masters tournament, which Siner managed twice - in Canada in 2023 and in Miami this year.
Jessica Pegula and Arina Sabalenka will play in the final of the women's tournament in Cincinnati.
