British tennis player Jack Draper qualified for the semifinals of the US Open Championship in New York tonight, after defeating the 10th player in the world, Australian Alex de Minor, after three sets, 6:3, 7:5, 6:2.
Draper, the 25th ranked player in the world, won after two hours and seven minutes and for the first time in his career reached the semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament.
He reached the semi-finals without losing a set.

He led 3:1 in the first set, kept the advantage of the break and took the lead in the match.
The Briton started the second set well, leading 3:1, and De Minor returned the break in the eighth game to equalize, and after the game on his serve, he led 5:4.
Draper then tied three games and won the second set.
He won the third set more easily, he took the Australian tennis player's serve in the fifth and seventh games and after the first match point, he qualified for the semi-finals.
Draper will play against the winner of the duel between the world number one player of Italy Janiko Sinero and fifth seed Danilo Medvedev from Russia.
