The world's number one tennis player, Janik Siner, defeated Danilo Medvedev 3:1 (6:2, 1:6, 6:1, 6:4) last night and advanced to the semi-finals of the US Open.
For the first time in his career, Siner reached the semifinals of the tournament in New York, where he will play against Jack Draper, who eliminated Alex de Minor.
The Italian was the first to reach the break in the match, he led 3:1, then he once again took the rival's serve and won the first set.
Medvedev answered in the second - he easily reached 5:0, and then tied the game in sets.

The fourth set was the most exciting. In the sixth game, Siner saved two break points, and then in the seventh, he took the opponent's serve, took a 4:3 lead, and eventually won.
The Americans - Taylor Fritz and Frenis Tijafo - will play in the second semi-final.
