One of the best Czech tennis players, Tomas Berdych, is the new coach of the country's Davey Cup national team.
Berdych succeeded Jaroslav Navratil in that position.
"In the Davis Cup, I experienced unforgettable moments of my tennis career. "I didn't hesitate for a moment to accept the offer," said Berdih after the appointment.
Berdych won the Davis Cup twice in his career with the Czech Republic - in 2012 and 2013.
His greatest success at the Grand Slams was the Wimbledon final in 2010, when he was defeated by Rafael Nadal.
