The Dane led in the mutual duels with the Australian - 3:2, but also entered the history of the tournament in Bercy, as the youngest after the Russian Marat Safin to win the semi-finals of that Masters twice (in 1999 and 2000, Safin was a semi-finalist).
Two years ago, Rune celebrated in Paris, and today he reached the semi-finals of the Masters for the fifth time, the second time this season.
De Minaur is still in contention for the final tournament in Turin, as he is in eighth place, but with only 15 points more than the ninth in the ATP race, Russia's Andrei Rublev.
