The German Aleksandar Zverev is the first to finish the Masters in Paris, after defeating the Dane Holger Rune 6:3, 7:6(4).
The second semi-final went to the 15th seed, the French Ugo Ember, who won the Russian Karen Khachanov after 168 minutes - 6:7, 6:4, 6:3.
Zverev achieved victory over the 13th player on the ATP list after an hour and 47 minutes. From Monday, he will be the second player in the world, and in this season he has achieved the full number of victories - 65, which is the same as the number one player, the Italian Janik Siner.
However, Siner has only six defeats and seven titles in 2024, and the German has 20 defeats and only one title in Rome.
Zverev reached the Masters final for the second time this season and for the 12th time in his career. He has six trophies in the masters series.
For the first time since the victorious final tournament in 2021, Zverev reached the final of the tournament in the category above ATP 250. On Monday, he will overtake Karlos Alkaras at and become the second player in the world again.
Alcaraz was eliminated by Ember in Paris.
