As expected, Alexander Zverev is in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. The German, the second seed in Melbourne, defeated Frenchman Iago Amber in four sets - 6:1, 2:6, 6:3, 6:2.
Zverev entered the match brilliantly, but suffered a major setback in the second set. The Frenchman held on until the eighth game of the third set, being an equal opponent. Then Zverev made a break, which he confirmed for the third set, and the rivals' game then fell apart.
