The Montenegrin tennis team suffered defeats against China on the first day of the Davis Cup World Group II playoffs.
The home team took the lead in Zhuhai with a 2:0 (6:4 and 7:6) victory over Petar Jovanović.
Jinzhen Zhong increased the lead to 2:0, winning against Aleksa Krivokapić 2:0 (6:4 and 6:4).
A doubles duel is scheduled for Saturday, in which Jovanović and Krivokapić will play against Fedžing San and Ridgel T.
On Sunday, the final day of competition, singles matches are scheduled.
