The ATP tournament in Dubai is a prestigious tournament, from the 500 category, but this year many aces bypassed the competition in the United Arab Emirates.
Novak Djokovic has taken a break, Janik Siner has started serving a three-month suspension, Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev (who is playing in the tournament in Rio de Janeiro) are also absent, so only three players from the Top 10 will compete in Dubai.
So the top seed is Daniil Medvedev, who will meet Jan-Lennard Struff in the first round.
The second "skeleton" is Alex de Minaur, the third is Andrei Rublev (who plays the final in Doha today against Jack Draper), and the fourth is Stefanos Tsitsipas...
Tsitsipas could be Medvedev's rival in the semifinals, and his first rival in Dubai is Lorenzo Sonego.
The tournament starts on Monday.
