Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic failed to win the Miami Masters title, as he was defeated in the final by Czech Jakub Menšik 2:0 - 6(4):7, 6(4):7 on the night between Sunday and Monday.
Djokovic, the fifth-ranked tennis player in the world, was defeated by the 54th-ranked player on the ATP list after two hours and five minutes.
In the second game of the first set, Menšik broke Djokovic's serve, but the Serbian tennis player responded with a break in the seventh game.
There were no breaks until the end of the set and a tie-break was played in which, with mini breaks in the second, third and 11th points, Menšik celebrated and took the lead.
There were no breaks in the second set and the winner was again decided in a tie-break, in which Menšik was better this time and reached the title.
Djokovic failed to reach his 100th career title tonight.
