Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz won the Rome Masters title, after defeating the world's number one player, Italian Jannik Siner, in the final today after two sets - 7:6, 6:1.
The match lasted an hour and 45 minutes, and Alkaras ended Siner's streak of 26 consecutive wins.
Alkaras, the world's third-ranked player, broke the Italian player's serve twice, while Siner did not win a single break.
The Spanish tennis player recorded four aces, while Siner won one point directly from his serve.
This is Alcaraz's third title this year, as well as the first he won at the tournament in Rome.
The Spanish tennis player overtook German Alexander Zverev in the ATP rankings with his victories in Rome and will officially be the world's second-ranked player as of Monday.
This was Siner's first tournament after serving a three-month suspension for anabolic steroid use.
