World number two American Coco Gauff advanced to the semifinals of Roland Garros after defeating compatriot Madison Keys 6:7(8), 6:4, 6:1 in three sets.
She defeated the eighth-ranked player on the WTA list after two hours and 13 minutes.
The first set saw three breaks on both sides, so the winner was decided in a tie-break, in which Keys won 8:6 after a great fight.
Gauff broke her opponent's serve three times in the second set, allowing Keys two breaks and reaching the tie.
In the third set, Goff was convincing and reached the semifinals with breaks in the first, fifth, and seventh games.
In the semifinals, Goff will play against the better player from the Andreev - Boason duel.
