Nothing from the Shanghai Masters final for Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian tennis player has been complaining about the difficult conditions in China in recent days, and it all culminated in the semi-final in which Novak had a series of bad luck - in the end, he faltered in a duel against Valentin Vassereau.
The guy from Monaco won in two sets 6:4, 6:3 in an hour and 42 minutes of fighting.
Djokovic had back problems in today's duel, neither pills nor massages helped him - Vashero knew how to take advantage of everything his famous opponent offered him.
He thus became the first Monegasque player to reach the final of an ATP tournament in the Open era.
Djokovic entered the match well and immediately got a break, but quickly lost that advantage.
The first problems, hip pain, appeared halfway through the first set and the match took on a completely different dimension.
Vashero won the game without losing a point, and then made a break for 5:3 - then easily reached a 1:0 lead.
Later, the medication started to take effect and Djokovic became a threat, and in the second half it was tied until the ninth game when Valentan made a break and took a huge step towards triumph.
He showed his strength of character a few minutes later when he served for victory.
Vashero will play the winner of the duel between Daniil Medvedev and Artur Rinderkneš in the final.
