The most decorated tennis player at the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic, winner of 10 Ozzy Open trophies in Melbourne, spent eight days preparing with biomechanics expert Marko Kovac.
Djokovic will play his first round match tomorrow against Spaniard Pedro Martinez, no earlier than 10:30 AM.
"I realize that I don't move like I used to. I may have lost a split second in speed, anticipation and decision-making compared to the period when I dominated the tour - that's normal, it's just physiology. At this stage of my career, it's important for me to make up for those losses: to mitigate my weaknesses and highlight my strengths, so that I can continue to compete at the highest level," said Djokovic.
