Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas advanced to the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne today, after defeating Japan's Shintaro Mochizuki 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. Tsitsipas, currently ranked 35th on the ATP list, celebrated against the 112th-ranked player in the world after three hours of play. The Greek will next play Czech Tomas Mahach, who beat Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-4, 6-3. Tsitsipas and Mahach have met only once before, and the Greek won that match.
