Norwegian tennis player Kasper Rudd advanced to the round of 16 of the Australian Open, after defeating the world's 70th ranked player, Croatian Marin Cilic, in four sets, 6:4, 6:4, 3:6, 7:5, in the third round in Melbourne today.
The match lasted three hours and five minutes.
Rud, the 13th ranked player in the world, broke the Croatian player's serve four times, while Čilić won two breaks.
The Norwegian tennis player recorded 25 aces, while Čilić won 18 points directly from his serve.
Ruud will play against world number seven American Ben Shelton in the round of 16.
