The Winter Olympics are underway, and the biggest star of the Games in Milan and Cortina is Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic. The best tennis player of all time is in the stands, watching the competitions with his family, and attracting the attention of numerous media outlets.
Djokovic was at the opening ceremony, but not among the guests, but in the audience, and afterwards the Italian media met him on the street, so he was ready for a short interview.
Novak was watching the figure skating competition last night, and Eurosport cameras followed him the whole time, recording his reactions to the moves performed by Ilja Malinjin. After the performance, Malinjin was excited to perform it in front of Novak.
"I saw Novak. It's unreal. I heard that after my turn he grabbed his head. It's unbelievable. It's a once-in-a-lifetime moment. I'm thrilled," Malinjin said.
Canadian skater Steven Gogoljev also spoke about Djokovic.
"What was going through my head? I think there were a lot of things going through my head, especially when I saw Novak Djokovic - I'm a big fan of his and he's one of my favorite tennis players. And yeah, that was actually the first thing I saw before those six minutes, so it was very exciting," Gogoljev said.
Canadian skier Ivana Blondin Nađ was also excited, asking for a photo with Djokovic.
