Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev advanced to the final of the Dubai tournament today after defeating Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime 6:4, 6:2 in the semifinals.
Medvedev, currently 11th on the ATP rankings, celebrated after 82 minutes of play.
The Russian tennis player made the decisive break in the first set in the tenth game, only to break his rival's serve twice in the second, in the fourth and eighth games.
Medvedev will play for the title in Dubai against Dutchman Talon Griekspoor, who beat Russian Andrei Rublev 7:5, 7:6 in the other semifinal.
After winning the first set with a break in the 12th game, Grikspor saved two set points in the second set tiebreak at 4:6, and also saved all six break points he faced during the match.
Medvedev and Grikspor have played one match so far, in which the Dutchman won.
