World number one Carlos Alcaraz has advanced to the semifinals of the Monte Carlo Masters, where he will defend his title.
Today he defeated Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik 6:3, 6:0.
It's the Spaniard's 300th career win and he's only 22 years old. His win-loss record is 300:67, the same as John McEnroe's. Only Jimmy Connors (300:63) and Rod Laver (300:55) are ahead.
In the semifinals, Alcaraz will play against local tennis player Valentin Vaschereau, who after two hours and 25 minutes of play eliminated the fifth favorite, Australian Alex Dr. Minor - 6:4, 3:6, 6:3.
