The world's third-ranked tennis player, German Alexander Zverev, advanced to the round of 16 of the Masters in Rome, after defeating Belgian Alexander Bloks 6:1, 6:4 after two sets today.
He defeated the 36th ranked player on the ATP list after an hour and 14 minutes.
Zverev won with breaks in the second and sixth games of the first set and a break in the first game of the second set.
In the round of 16, Zverev will play against the winner of the Paul - Darderi duel.
Croatian Dino Prižmić also advanced to the round of 16, defeating Frenchman Hugo Ember 6:1, 7:5 after two sets.
He will play against the winner of the Khachanov - Van De Zandschulp duel in the round of 16.
