Janik Siner finally crushed Daniil Medvedev to reach the Rome Masters final.
In the match that began on Friday, the Italian only finished the job on Saturday afternoon and achieved his 33rd consecutive victory in the Masters 1.000 series tournaments, strengthening his record - 6:2, 5:7, 6:4.
Tomorrow, in the final, he will face Kasper Ruud, and Siner has a chance to compete for trophies at all nine Masters by winning Rome.
The Italian struggled, losing a set on Friday after a long time, and in the third set he requested a massage due to cramps during the game, even though it is not allowed. He still led 4:2 when the break came.
After a good night's sleep, the cramps went away and today he finished his work without much trouble.
