The young 19-year-old Russian celebrates her first Grand Slam title after a routine victory over Maya Khvalinska - 6:3, 6:2.
The sensation from Poland did much, much more in Paris than she believed she was capable of anyway, and in the final she simply ran into a better rival.
The first four games of the match brought the same number of breaks, and Hvalinska was the first to save her serve when she took a 3:2 lead.
It was, however, a game that turned out to be the last one that meant anything to Hvalinska.
From that moment on, the final became a one-way street, Andreeva won nine straight games and took a 5:0 lead in the second set, and all Maja did was get to 5:2 and delay her opponent's celebration for a few minutes.
Andreeva then won the title with a break without losing a point...
