Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has been fined £5.600 for inappropriate behavior during his Wimbledon round of 16 match against Russian Roman Safiulin, tournament organizers announced.
In a statement, Wimbledon organizers said that Djokovic was punished for "loud profanity" uttered during a match played on Sunday.
Djokovic defeated Safiullin after four sets (7:6, 6:3, 3:6, 6:3), and advanced to the semifinals on Tuesday with a triumph over Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.
