Novak Djokovic failed to advance to the third round of the Cincinnati Masters, losing to world number 50 Tiago Agustin Tirante after three sets, 6:2, 4:6, 4:6.

In the first set, the players won games on their serves until the finale, when Djokovic broke his opponent's serve in the sixth and eighth games and took the lead in the match.
After the third game of the second set, which lasted 18 minutes, Djokovic requested a medical timeout, as he was having difficulty moving and had trouble breathing.
He continued the match with some problems, and in the seventh game Tirante broke his serve, preserving the advantage and tying the match.
The tennis players won games on their serves in the third set until the ninth, when Tirante made a break for 5:4. After that, he won the game on his serve without any problems and advanced to the third round.
He will play against Spaniard Martin Landaluse, who defeated Italian Matteo Arnaldi 6:4, 4:6, 6:4.
