Italian tennis player Janik Siner could miss the US Open, writes the Italian "Gazzetta".
As reported, Siner returned to Turin on Monday, where he began his recovery from a knee injury and held his first indoor training session.
The world's best tennis player will undergo further examinations, and then a final decision will be made on his participation in the last Grand Slam of the season.
If tests do not show that Siner's knee is completely healthy, the Italian will miss the tournament.
The US Open is scheduled from August 30 to September 13.
